The Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce is committed to promoting our members. Ribbon Cutting ceremonies provide the perfect opportunity to introduce your business to the community. We are excited for your success and love to help you mark this momentous occasion!
When to Have a Ribbon Cutting
There are several reasons to have a ribbon cutting, including:
- You are hosting a Grand Opening
- Your business is being relocated
- Your business is under new ownership
- We are welcoming you as a new member to the Chamber
Scheduling a Ribbon Cutting
Ribbon Cuttings are scheduled to Tuesday or Thursday between 10:00AM and 3:00PM. For home based businesses, we offer a photo opportunity at the Chamber and Social Media post. We request at least two (2) weeks advance notice when scheduling. Ribbon Cutting dates are scheduled on a first-come, first-confirmed basis.

Promotions
We encourage you to invite clients, vendors, city officials, business associates, neighbors, friends, and family -- this is your event! The Chamber will notify the Ambassador Committee about the Ribbon Cutting ceremony, as well as publish the ceremony on our online calendar at conyers-rockdale.com and our Weekly Newsletter. After the event, photos from your Ribbon Cutting will be shared on the Chamber's Social Media platforms.
Logistics
There are typically 5-10 attendees representing the Chamber at each Ribbon Cutting. We will ask you to say a few words, so be prepared to briefly tell us about your business. The Chamber will provide the ribbon, scissors, sign, and camera.
Tips for Success
Consider offering samples of your product or service, as well as information / handouts on your business. Most ribbon cutting ceremonies include light refreshments provided by the member, especially those surrounding lunch time. We encourage you to use other Chamber members to provide catering and refreshments if possible.
